Emerging science
Peptides, without the hype
8 min read ·
Peptides are short chains of amino acids. In the body, some of them act as signals: messages that can influence repair, inflammation, metabolism and other processes researchers are still mapping.
That sentence is biochemistry, not a product claim. Different peptides are being studied for different reasons, in different species, at different levels of evidence. Some of that work is clinical. Much of it is preclinical or early. Collapsing those distinctions is how wellness marketing gets ahead of the science.
A wedge, not the brand
Better Years is a pet longevity company. Peptides are one of the first places we are looking, because the research is moving and the questions are serious. They are not the only tool we intend to use. Diagnostics, mobility, metabolic health, nutrition and veterinary care all belong in a complete longevity platform.
Better Years exists to thoughtfully explore where emerging science may have a role in helping animals live healthier lives.
Restore, our first peptide protocol, carries an evidence badge, a mechanism written in plain language, and a clear warning about what has not been established. It is on a waitlist, not a shopping cart in disguise.
